Keepin' Cozy Petal Book by Cathy

Hi Samantha Walker Fans!  Cathy here with you today sharing Samantha's Petal Book!  It's so easy to create and it will make the perfect mini for all of your winter photos.  I used Samantha's Echo Park Keepin' Cozy 6x6 paper pad and stickers for my petal book!

I enlarged the book ( as you can see in the screen shot) so that each of my pages were a little over 3 inches wide across the circle part of each page.  That way I knew I could add some fun 3x3 photos of our winter outings!  

Just cut all ten pages, layer and punch a whole to add a binding ring!  Then just decorate!  It's a mini you can but together in just a matter of minutes.  Gotta love that!

Here's a peek at some of the inside pages...I can't wait to fill them, I just ordered some photos this morning!

Candy Jar Card by Diana

There is nothing better than bright colors on a card — it's like gifting sunshine. For today's post, I am sharing how I made this candy jar card using a Samantha Walker Silhouette file and enamel dots. 

This is the candy jar as it is from the Silhouette store. Ungroup the file and delete the circle meant for the candy pieces, the little circles on the jar and the lid, and the reflection piece on the jar and the base.

Below is what you should have left for your cut file.

I used gray card stock to cut my jar and a piece of Samantha Walker's Echo Park Keepin' Cozy for the interior of the lid cut. 

Once I had jar positioned on a piece of white card stock, I began to layer in a variety of enamel dots in different colors and sizes.

The finished card is bright and cheerful. To add a sentiment, I cut a teeny tiny tag that was attached to the top of the lid with twine. The "sweet!" stamp is from Samantha Walker's JustRite stamp set called For All You Do Vintage Labels Three.

Layered Mini Album with Keepin' Cozy by Cathy

Hi!  Cathy here with a mini album to share with you, featuring several Samantha Walker cutting files and the paper collection she designed for
Echo Park...Keepin' Cozy!
   

A couple of months back, I saw an amazing mini album on the Silhouette Blog.  I loved it and bought the bundle to create my own. Then, when we were assigned our dates to post for Samantha Walker's Creative team...I wondered if I could create one similar with her files.  So that is exactly what I did!

I love how it turned out!

Here is the list of files I used to create the mini and towards the end I will list the files for cover.

2 artisan pocketed folder #35845, card a2 large artisan flap #47873, a2 artisan edge card with flap #47860, card simple hexagon snowflake #23568, and doily lace #4017.

I cut all the pieces in the order listed above.  I had to ungroup the hexagon snowflake card, so that I had just the card base.  The only file I reduced was doily lace, which I reduced to 6 inches in diameter.

After everything was cut, I inked all the edges except the white card stock.  I layered the pieces all back together and added a glassine bag for one more layer.  I added a piece of scrap paper, sequins and stickers to create a fun little pocket on one side and then a tag to other.  I stitched through the entire stack of layers...no problem for my sewing machine whatsoever.

For the cover, I used the snowflake that I ungrouped from the hexagon snowflake card, and circle tear drop scallop #4238 reduced to 6.25 inches.  I added a 5 inch circle of vellum for one more layer. Then finished up the mini with stickers from Keepin' Cozy, a little Twinery Twine, then added some miscellaneous buttons &sequins.

I can't wait to send this to my BFF back home, so she can add all of her fun Instagram photos of her kiddos sledding and playing in the snow.  There are so many 

Samantha Walker cut files that you could use to create a mini...the possibilities are endless!
