Mom's Quilt! She's Amazing!
My Mom came with the newest quilt she put together. This one is for my sister Sara's little baby...to be born this week. I absolutely adore this quilt! It is just yummy! In my Dad's words...he said, "it screams Baskin and Robbins." Which is quite appropriate as that is where my sister worked all through high school. My Mom used my Wanna Be a Cowboy fabric from Riley Blake. She used the soft cotton flannel from this collection on the back. I love how she used cream to offset the stars showing off the variety of fabrics she used. So cute! The pink border sets everything off so nicely...it matches more closely, the photo turned the color more lavender...which it is not. My Mom's smile is my favorite thing about this photo...she looks so pleased with her work of art...and she should be, because she did such a beautiful job! I think she is up to 15 quilts for 15 grandbabies...way to go, Mom!

From time to time I make recommendations of products that I love to use, or products that I have designed. Occasionally, manufacturers send me products to play with. They have not obligated me to show them on my blog or review them. I only make positive remarks about those things that I truly love and enjoy to use. Everyone's personal experience with various products may be different, as we all use things in different ways. I am not compensated for these remarks, and merely pass on my opinion to you as a reader. I hope you find my opinions valuable.

Beautiful! I want to learn to quilt. I have really been thinking about it a lot in the past few weeks...I think I need to call my grandmother and ask her to teach me. I am going to learn before I start having grandkids!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I was at the quilt show this past Friday and I looked and looked for the Enchanted Garden display then it hit me! Ohhh, it must have been only part of the industry show and not for the general public :( If it was up and I missed it I will be really sad! hugs from Houston, TX!
