Samantha Walker Creative Team Blog Hop

Hi! So glad you stopped by!  Each month my team and I try very hard to create projects that will help spark the desire in you to get moving on your craft projects.  This month, we have a very special hop as the team is focusing on Unity Stamps.

In conjunction with our stamping blog hop...
Unity is also offering a sale on ALL Samantha Walker kits on sale for only $15.  Sale starts June 15th (that's today) - and ends MONDAY MORNING June 20th at 10 a.m. - All purchases over $40 get this FREE ITTY BITTY stamp! $6.25 Retail Value. This is an incredible deal...you won't want to miss this opportunity...so please stop by the Unity store after you hop.

This month I worked on a couple of cards using my Unity set entitled "Sweet Life." This set has so many options...you can build any kind of ice cream you want.  From singles, doubles, triple scoops and more with a cone or a frosty glass and all the fixings...you will be happy with the infinite number of ways you can create an ice cream. So...today, I wanted to show you two totally different ideas in working with this set. These are the cards I created:
I don't know many things that make life more beautiful than ice cream...especially on a hot sunny day. Wouldn't you agree?
The first card I tried to create the look of a clear frosty sundae glass.  Unfortunately, this did not photograph as cool as the actual frosty glass on my card...the close-up does a little better.
To achieve this...I stamped the glass stamp with blue ink on vellum cardstock, then layered paper "ice cream scoops" behind the glass.  I backed the ice cream scoops and glass with white so that it had better contrast on my tan background.
Then I added two scoops of polka dot ice cream. I used clear embossing powder over the top of the ice cream scoops and the chocolate syrup to add a little glossy sheen.  I covered the entire cherry with embossing ink then layered clear embossing powder over the top to make it look more like a juicy marichino cherry. I used papers and a sentiment from my Blossom collection for Creative Imaginations.
For the next card, I wanted to demonstrate how the word phrases can be put inside of the ice cream scoop to create a fresh fun look. I used paper from my Blossom collection for Creative Imaginations, and  my pink Holey Cardstock as a background also from Creative Imaginations.

Prize Giveaway information:
This month I have 3 sets of stamps to give away from Unity!  Yeah!  For a chance to win one of these sets,  just leave a comment on my blog. For additional entries, leave a comment on each of my creative team's blogs, and you can also get one last entry by commenting on my facebook page that you completed the hop. That's a total of 11 possible entries.  I will draw 3 random numbers from all posts, and let you know the winner on my FB page on Monday.

These are the sets you will have a chance to win:

My creative team has several more ideas using stamps from my collection with Unity.  Please hop through their blogs and enjoy!
