Okay...from a person who VOWED to never start her own blog...here I go jumping in with both feet. I guess my adventurous spirit is smothering my shyness these days...how those two go together, I will never know. However, what I do know is that I never let my fears stop me from achieving my dreams. One of my favorite quotes comes from Georgia O'Keefe the artist...she said, “I've been absolutely terrified every moment of my life -- and I've never let it keep me from doing a single thing I wanted to do.”

So first things first...I'm Samantha Walker, I'm a Wife, Mother, and Designer. I hope to create a place to come to that has little treasures of inspiration...Hence "X marks the Spot!" Hopefully, as I get things up and running, I will be able to share with you little bits of fun and knowledge that I pick up day to day. I would also love to start a few challenges, share design tips, and typography help. Eventually, I hope to share some of the things I've been working on...be that photography, scrapbooking, painting, writing, designs I've been working on for Creative Imaginations, or anything else I feel worth sharing.

These days, I've been busy in my studio working on my new line of scrapbooking products for CHA Winter 2007...so, it's hard to believe that, just now, I will be releasing my CHA Summer stuff. CHA is just two weeks away...Yeah! I'm still giddy like a school girl with my contract with Creative Imaginations. I feel like I've been living in a dream, as I have been able to design and create products for them. I feel so honored to have been chosen as one of their artists amongst some of my favorite artist "heroes" in the scrapbooking industry. If you want a little sneak peak at what's to come...stay posted...I'm going to try to figure out how this picture insert thing-y works. I may be knowledgeable in many aspects of computers (Photoshop, illustrator etc.)...but anything to do with the internet, is new territory for me.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment! Without your readership, I wouldn't be doing a blog.

My blog is supported by sponsors and affiliates. If you decide to make a purchase through my affiliate links, I am paid a small commission for it. This doesn’t cost you anything additional. These commissions help to keep the rest of my content free, and allow me to blog more often.

From time to time I make recommendations of products that I love to use, or products that I have designed. Occasionally, manufacturers send me products to play with. They have not obligated me to show them on my blog or review them. I only make positive remarks about those things that I truly love and enjoy to use. Everyone's personal experience with various products may be different, as we all use things in different ways. I am not compensated for these remarks, and merely pass on my opinion to you as a reader. I hope you find my opinions valuable.

Thank you for supporting my blog!
